One Block Wonder
A One-Block Wonder quilt is traditionally made with one fabric, but you can choose to use a panel and coordinating fabric or even 7 panels to make your quilt. One-Block Wonder is not a pattern. It is a process. Start with a fabric that has a pattern which can be measured in repeats, usually no smaller than 12”. Cut six individual repeats into strips. Cut 60 degree triangles from the strips. Then those stacks of six triangles, which are identical, are sewn into half hexagons and pinned together to create kaleidoscope blocks. These blocks are then arranged on a design wall around a panel. Other design elements can be added if wanted. This is a simplified description of the process. Sign up for this class to begin the adventure.
